The New Bar Co. ProjectStudents worked in groups to launch a small business designing, creating, promoting and selling a new nutritional bar. An interdisciplinary project where students not only learned the math behind cost, profit and measurement in cooking but also the science behind calories, health, marketing/advertising and creating a PSA to promote healthy and happy living.

An interdisciplinary project where students used their knowledge of cells, DNA and mutations from science class and incorporate it into a superhero/villain in their Humanities class. Students created a final product that was exhibited at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery. Project Description |
The Outsiders ProjectWinter 2016
Students spent 4 weeks reading the novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and used modern day data and statistics to develop persuasive arguments to present in a Socratic Seminar discussion. Project Description Do you Haiku? projectFall 2016
A mini-project that allowed us to get to know each other and reminded us of how crucial the critique and revision process is when it comes to our projects and creating quality work. We also learned how to write haikus, incorporate Sketchnote style illustrations into our final product and made a beautiful class banner. Project Description |
